How Do I Locate a City if I Don't Know the Area?

On the Life in New Jersey section page, we have links to every government, highway, and transit site that we could find. But, we didn't really have a way to help people find a city or town in our area. This is helpful if someone offers you a job in Parsippany and you don't know where it is. A lot of times, the person you are speaking with will tell you, but they don't show you a map and point out neighboring towns.

The fastest way I have found to locate lots of local information is to use Yahoo! GetLocal. It's a nice service that lists all of the cities and towns in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Once you find the city you are looking for, click on the "Maps" link in the middle of the page (it's small, but it seems to be there on every page). That gives you an on-line map of the area in and around the city.
